Dental caries is the most prevalent health condition worldwide. In the US it remains widespread in both children and adults, impacting 46% children (2-19 years) and nearly 90% of adults (20 to 64 years). This symposium aims to 1- address the multifaceted aspects of dental caries, including its prevalence, and risk factors, 2- highlight the importance of high-dose fluoride applications in pediatric dentistry, given the vulnerability of children to caries and the long-term benefits of prevention, 3- discuss management of fluoride hesitancy among patients and caregivers and methods to address common concerns and misconceptions, and 4- explore the latest evidence-based anti-caries solutions emphasizing their integration into routine practice to enhance preventive care. The symposium is designed to provide an update on best practices and future trends in caries prevention and management, and to equip dental professionals with practical skills to effectively drive progress in oral healthcare in their practice and communities.
