Dr. Kenneth W. Aschheim is the assistant chief forensic odontologist at New York City’s Office of Chief Medical Examiner and a diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Odontology. He serves as vice-chair of the ADA Standards Board and has led multiple national and international committees, including the AAFS Standards Board in Forensic Odontology, the NIST-supervised OSAC Forensic Odontology Subcommittee and ISO/TC 106/SC 3/WG 2 on Dental Vocabulary. With over 20 years of forensic experience, Dr. Aschheim has represented the U.S. on Interpol’s Disaster Victim Identification sub-working group. A noted expert in dental informatics and aesthetic dentistry, he has contributed extensively to software development, AI-driven forensic identification tools and international dental standards. He also serves as adjunct clinical professor at NYU and associate clinical professor at Mount Sinai, with a focus on advancing technology and innovation in dentistry.
