Rachel Uppgaard, DDS, FACS, is a clinical associate professor in the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. She previously worked in private practice and served as a staff surgeon at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. Currently, she is a full-time attending oral and maxillofacial surgeon at the University of Minnesota and serves as the interim public health liaison for the School of Dentistry. Dr. Uppgaard’s research focuses on educational models in dental and surgical training, with an emphasis on how students and residents develop procedural confidence.
