This course is designed to provide dental professionals with comprehensive instruction on the safe and effective use of nitrous oxide/oxygen analgesia. You will learn how to properly evaluate and select patients, prepare them for sedation and understand the key functions and components of delivery and scavenging systems. Attention will be given to administering nitrous oxide/oxygen in accordance with current safety guidelines.

Perform patient evaluation, selection and preparation for nitrous oxide/oxygen analgesia
Describe and discuss the function and basic components of nitrous oxide/oxygen delivery and scavenging systems
Administer nitrous oxide/oxygen analgesia in a safe and effective manner
Monitor patients undergoing nitrous oxide/oxygen analgesia and document the procedure.
